This is my “list of things to do before I die”, otherwise known as a “bucket list” but I prefer to refer to it simply as THE LIST.

My primary reasons for starting this blog were to help me focus, plan and train towards accomplishing more of the items on this list, and also as a way to make contact with other people with similar interests and aspirations.

Bear in mind that this is a “work in progress”, so this list is always evolving. I quite often read of hear about something interesting and add it to the list, and very occasionally I decide to remove something from the list, either because I’ve gone off the idea for whatever reason, or because the idea has evolved into something else.

Finally, many of the items on the list are dependant on either time, money, or other items on the list. For example, BASE jumping requires considerable skydiving experience before it can be attempted (typically at least 100 jumps) and entering the WSOP main event costs $10,000 so I won’t be completing this list any time soon – but if I manage to tick off most of it in my lifetime I’ll be a happy man!

I once saw a T-shirt printed with the slogan “He who dies with the most toys, wins” but I think that’s wrong. People who collect experiences are far more interesting that people who collect things!
